Ok here's the question;
When an element releases an alpha particle or a beta particle during radioactive decay, what happens to the element?

A It acquires additional nuclei
B It bonds to another element
C It changes into a different element
D It makes more of itself.

it changes into a different element. alpha and beta decay cause a change in the number of protons so the identity of the element will change

This is more of a chemistry problem, but the answer is C. When uranium undergoes radioactive decay, if it decays long enough, then it will eventually turn into lead.
