Question:
Is Evolution True?
2006-09-15 10:53:16 UTC
Many time people say evolution is the answer to creation. I on the other hand am cross referencing this website:

http://www.learnthebible.org/creation_science_main.htm

With several scientific websites, and comparison with Thermodynamics I have concluded tha Evolution does not exist.

Based on what you have after investigate thoroughly, let me know what your thoughts are on this Evolution Hypothesis.

My e-mail is eric.brame@us.army.mil for further questions and/or debates.

Wow, what a question! That is not something that a humble little answer on Yahoo Answers can really thoroughly answer.

I can admire that you tried doing research before coming to your conclusions. There are many who don't even try to do that. May I ask which are the scientific websites that you cross-referenced? Did you look at any specific rebuttles of creationist arguments?

I just want to give you some food for thought about the thermodynamics question. Consider, for a moment, each of these things: Snowflakes. A tornado. A bolt of lightning. Baked bread. Crystals. What do these things in common? They are examples of order arising from disorder.

With this in mind, two questions:

1. Does this mean that God allows the 2nd law of thermodynamics to be violated every day?

2. Do you think that evolutionary biologists, usually with post-graduate education and a very well-entrenched knowledge of the scientific method, would continue to support a theory which violates a principle learned in seventh grade science?

Thanks for the thought-provoking question!

How about this: the penis is mimed by both sides by two legs, the vagina does the same, so if you look at it in side of the mirror, then there must be another side, we have simply been looking at it at one side... A is B, A in B, A for B,A am B, etc. might be simply one-dimensional. What are the other dimensions? I dont know.

That would explain why God created bilateral symmetry as a way of representing truth .. the truth is somewhere "in between" and is hidden and must be "found" with a 1. The two C's form a O and you must use a penis or a 1 to "serve" O, thats why each human being is upright 1 all inside the BIG O - the earth... If you identify with the Collective Consciousness, The Universal Truth, The God, The King, etc. then you have taken the first step. The next step must logically follow.

Since God has only given us the human body as a symbol, may be if we look inside we will find what is the other dimension? The two sides of the nose are the contextof the truth: a and b, and and is the truth. the two sides of the head are the ears, so what is in between is the hidden message or the truth. (the head) - the two eyebrows above the eyes are mimes (a and b) and what is in between (the red dot of Hindu female) must be the truth, so may be we are looking at one dimension only up until now.. The EYES, NOSE, LEGS, HANDS, TESTES, etc all follow bilateral symmetry , one side IS the other side, and conveys the hidden message, but all are in the FRONT of the body, what if we look at other sides of the body? There are two ears, that are 90 degree from the front plane of the reference, there are two buttocks and an asshole if you rotate the body 180 degrees. but in that format, you are only looking at "excretion" or "destroyance" or "subject elimination" and the sense symbols are "hidden" - the eye cannot see, the nose cannot smell, when in this dimension. but the ears can still hear. So your next step to find truth must have a auditory dimension : you have always been looking at language, visual aspects, symbols, etc. What are the auditory symbols? What have you done upto now? Dont tell me way of pronunciation of the visual symbols. Is there some thing else that fits the definition of an "auditory symbol" that is not a "visual symbol"?

There are two eyes but both inputs is processed by one brain area. If the brain area itself represents a metaphor, then there must be another truth: the truth of universal sense, that would explain telepathy or how, if "everybody else knows, then you know also." Thats why English must be made worldwide second language so we can study the symbols in more depth ... English is the numberline of numbers while 0 is still the source of all power... However much you multiply in the number line you will always encounter a 0 at every 10th location, so the 0 "already knows" you are going to be there at that point of time... however much you wander you are still in the same number line, and God keeps reminding you of the 0, the source of universal power.

If you had said that you have read the Bible, the Koran, the Torah, a good selection of Hindu religious texts, and "On The Origin of Species" for yourself, followed up by a number of references to the accepted laws of thermodynamics, it would be possible to attach some value to your conclusion. As it is, you appear to be allowing others to interpret the original works for you.

When you have read all that, read about the Greek and Roman theologies, the Egyptians and a bit of Norse theology, the beliefs of the Native Americans. Then start looking at some of the less well known belief systems. Even if you cannot come to a conclusion, you will have found out an awful lot about what makes mankind tick.

Nothing to do with thermodynamics.

As I see it, creationism tells us who and why, evolution tells us how and when. I don't see them as mutually exclusive.

Lest someone be concerned about the 6 days, and how they are squared against evolution, remember that there is a description in the Bible that a day is "as a thousand years" a very long time for early Christians to comprehend.

AS a thousand years, is NOT the same as saying a day in God's time IS a thousand years. It simply gives a simile, an explanation to early Christians that God's days are exceedingly long.

How do you suppose reading a couple of websites makes you an expert in biology, geology, and physics? You're just going to discredit Evolution based on what you read on the web?

What tests have you done to back up your hypothesis? So far i don't see any quality of authority in this field on your part.

Darwin's evolution says nothing at all about stellar processes, it is strictly a biological theory. It may require others to find the stellar processes that allowed life to occur, but that is not in Darwin's purview.

Yes evolution is true.....sorry, I don't want to confuse you with the facts.

I suppose you believe that the bible was faxed down from heaven central too (King James version of course)

Please go away and don't post any more such stupid rubbish questions when you mind is already made up.

Evolution is a THEORY, not an hypothesis. That's because it has lots of evidence. And hypothesis doesn't require a lot of evidence.

If you REALLY wanted to learn about evolution, you would read what science has to say about it, NOT what a bunch a creationist fruitcakes say about it. They lie a lot!

I know this sounds stupid, I've heard that human thumbs have gotten shorter over evolution, they used to be as long as the rest of the fingers.

The second law is laughably misunderstood by creationists.

If you want to learn about thermodynamics from an actual physicist, go here:

Specifically with regards to evolution:

since the days of Plato's distortion and spin on what Socrates may have done and/or said, humans have embraced argument and debate far too much for their own good - these, along with warfare, are immature ways of solving problems

Of course it's true, the evidence is in the ground and all around us. The only debate is about the mechanism.

You obviously don't understand thermodynamics. AiG even includes the 2LOT argument on their list of arguments creationuts shouldn't use!

About the military e-mail address...shouldn't you be working rather than debating issues on your military e-mail address? Glad to see that our taxpayer dollars are being well spent...

I think that 'Evolution' does not require your belief in order to be true. Believe what you want.

Evolution is Fiction. A fable made up to try and make people feel better about the sin they commit.

To the comment made: "You're just going to discredit Evolution based on what you read on the web?"

Most people try and discredit the Bible because of something they have read, or something taken out of context, or something they don't understand!!!

If A came from B, and B came from C, and C came from D, and....................................

And X Came from Y, and Y came from Z........

Where did Z come from?
