true-breeding yellow X true-breeding blue gives F1 progeny to be only green and now we selfed F1 progeny and what are the phenotypes and ratios of F2 progeny?

True-breeding means homozygous, so the parents are both homozygous. The F1 progeny are all heterozygous (obtain 1 allele from each parent). Crossing the F1 is a cross between heterozygotes, so there will be 4 possible permutations with 3 different genotypes in 1:2:1 ratio. Here are the crosses:

Parental: YY x BB

F1: YB (all of the F1 have this genotype)

F1 cross: YB x YB

F2:

YY

YB

BY

BB

So, the F2 will be in a 1:2:1 ratio of YY:YB:BB

let YY be true breeding yellow & yybe true breeding blue when we crossed them we get Yy [green] in the F1 progeny from this we confirm that it is a case of incomplete dominance.so the phenotypes of F2 progeny are:-

YY-true breeding yellow

Yy,Yy-true breeding green

yy-true breeding blue

phenotypic ratio-1:2:1,genotypic ratio-1:2:1

True breeding means homozygous dominant. So..

P1 YY x BB

F1 BY x BY

F2 1:BB :2BY :1YY

Hope this helped!
