I need help with a Cell Analogy. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi I have a project in which I have to make a 3D cell model by using analogies. The whole project is about analogies. I know some analogies but I cannot think of one that I can put on the model that I can find in my home without going out to buy something. can you help me please?
The cells parts are:
1) Cell Membrane
2) Nucleus
3) Ribosomes
4) Mitochondria
5) Vacuole
6) Lysosome
7) Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
8) Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum
9) Golgi Apparatus
10) Flagellum or Cilia
11) Peroxisome
12) Chloroplast
13) Centriole

While I'm normally a pessimist, I think eventually these ideas will become common knowledge. I think most people understand the Earth goes around the sun, even though in Galileo's time the Church renounced it. And some Christians I know are perfectly intelligent, and don't take the Bible as a science manual. Unfortunately, far too many people do. -Atheist

Try analogizing organelles with computer components. For instance, the mitochondria could be the power supply and the cell membrane could be the case.

A cell is like a factory, or a cell is like a city. Those were ones that my mom often did and she taught middle school biology.

well for the nucleus you can use a jawbreaker or big gumball. Everything can be on icing.the ribosomes could be cooked (long) pasta noodles.I did one of these projects in 6th grade. good like!!!!
