I need this for science but I cant find any info on the internet. I read that the mean human reaction time to a visual stimuli is around 0.23seconds. I tested myself and found my average is around 0.26. I did this by doing this test where i had to press a button once a traffic light turned green. Now I have to draw a conclusion from that experiment. So could someone help me draw a conclusion about human reaction time? THANKYOU!!!!

it's not that animals have a faster reaction time, it's that animals and humans have differences in the sensory input that starts the reaction.

The ant jaws accelerate from zero to 143 mph (230 kph) in 0.13 milliseconds, 2300 times faster than the blink of an eye.

I'd say human's are right in the middle. The sloth has the slowest reaction speed of any animal (including humans)

Do you have a source? If you have a book or something then you're going to be better off looking in there because on the internet you're going to find people who will swear that animals have better reaction times and people who will swear that people have better reaction times. Your teacher will likely base their answer off of any books or handouts they've given you.

Also, to the person with the ant, reaction time =/= movement speed. You're talking about them moving their mouth to bite something. Reaction time is a reaction to a stimulus.

Well I have no proof of this but theirs is much much faster.
