I cannot figure this out!
We did a Lab and put potatoes like cubes in a batch of tap water and one in a batch of salt water; for osmosis I need to know the independent variables, control variables and the Dependent variables. It is too hard please help Quickest correct ans. gets 10pts.

The independent variable is aspect of the experiment that you are changing. In this case, you are changing the type of liquid the potato is immersed in. Your control variable is the normal water, and the experimental variable is salt water. The dependent variable is what you are measuring, i.e. final potato size.

Hello there! I actually have already done this lab...this was my Hypothesis...(yes, it was correct) "If water flows from a hypotonic solution to a hypertonic solution, when a solution with a lower molarity is placed with a potato inside a beaker containing H2O or a lesser concentration, then water will flow into the greater molarity and out of the lesser molarity." Let me know if you need help with any of the other labs...I have all of the other ones saved as well....Good Luck!
