Its called tinnitus.

This extremely irritating and stressful condition of the ear is usually not caused by any external noise. This auditory sensation, or ringing in the ears, as it is widely known affects thousands of people. It involves a ringing noise in the ears which may or may not be accompanied by hearing loss. Although many tinnitus sufferers can hear perfectly well, some others experience such loud ringing in the ears that other sounds are virtually blocked out. This severe condition renders them helpless as they loose sleep and concentration.

Tinnitus can be broadly classified into two types: Objective which is caused by vascular sounds in the head and neck or muscular contractions of the middle ear or the soft palate in the mouth. Your doctor can easily hear the same sounds on examination as you are yourself hearing.

Subjective tinnitus refers to buzzing, roaring, ringing or whistling in the ear which may be continuous or intermittent and are only heard by the sufferer, i.e. a doctor is unable to hear the same sounds. Subjective tinnitus is more common than objective tinnitus. Nearly 36 million Americans suffer from this disorder. In almost all cases, only the patient can hear the noise.

Therefore, a visit to your doctor is extremely important to identify the origin of your problem as that only will determine the line of treatment. This said, it is important to state here that there is very little you or your doctor can do to cure tinnitus. All you can hope for is controlling and treating the underlying causes.

There is actually no cure for tinnitus with the conventional medicine. And, since last many years, the onus has been on the herbal industry to provide relief, if any, to tinnitus sufferers.

Tinnitus is usually due to damage to the microscopic ends of the hearing nerve in the inner ear. Perfect hearing is possible only if these nerves remain healthy and any damage to these nerves results in tinnitus or hearing impairment.

Some herbal remedies exist which can be used to support all body systems involved in helping the ear to perform its tasks of clear hearing and balance, as well as the circulatory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems.

Some of the most common herbs & biochemic tissue salts used are

• Ginkgo Biloba is excellent for a number of cerebral and circulatory disorders. It is probably the most widely-used herb for tinnitus and many sufferers swear by this natural ingredient.

• Rosemary dilates and strengthens blood vessels and is an excellent circulation tonic. Rosemary is particularly useful for tinnitus that is caused or worsened by high blood pressure and other circulatory conditions.

• Avena Sativa is effective in reducing high cholesterol levels which can contribute to circulatory problems which cause tinnitus.

• Wild Hyssop is also useful in reducing pain and inflammation.

• Salicylic Ac. (30C) is indicated for tinnitus with loud roaring or ringing sounds, which may be accompanied by deafness or vertigo. This remedy is particularly useful in people whose symptoms began with a bout of flu, Meniere’s disease or long-term use of aspirin.

• Ferrum phosphoricum (Ferrum phos. D6) is a homeopathic biochemic tissue salt which supports the absorption of iron in the body. The protective myelin sheath which surrounds all nerve tissue needs iron to supply this vital nutrient to the nerve cells it encases. Regular use of Ferrum phos. can help to prevent dizziness, headaches and restlessness and is of great benefit for those who tend to feel irritable, tense and tired.

• Magnesium phosphate (Mag. phos. D6) well-known as a homeopathic painkiller, Mag. phos. is also of great benefit to the health of the nerves. It acts as a natural anti-spasmodic and a nerve and muscle relaxant and is also frequently recommended for stress headaches.

Hope all this helps

Good Luck!

If you have, you must know how painful and frustrating all those noises in the ear can be.

They can strike anytime in the day, and can become worse in the night.

You would probably give anything to get some relief. But that's of course easier said than done.

The remedies suggested by the physician can give some relief. But the noises always come back.

So are the noises of tinnitus getting on your nerves? Its time you considered alternative tinnitus remedies.

You should know that your physician practicing conventional treatments cannot really cure you from all those noises.

Sure enough, your noises can go down with treatment, but they will always come back.

At best, you can get some temporary respite from conventional treatment - nothing more.

You would be happy to know that there are a few wonderful alternative tinnitus remedies that have worked very well for many sufferers like you.

There's no reason why they can't work for you.

Consider These Alternative Tinnitus Remedies

TRT was developed by a researcher, Pawel Jastreboff, in the late 80s. Jastreboff has a doctoral degree in science however, he was neither a doctor nor a psychiatrist. Despite that fact, he came up with a theory that states that the problem is not the sounds but the distress created by the sounds. He felt that how to cure tinnitus lay in getting people to filter out these noises so that they no longer bothered them. The system uses several different techniques including a tactic called ear drumming.

Proponents of this therapy say that since Jastreboff's thesis on tinnitus has not been disproven then it must be valid. As you can imagine, this is not a logical argument. Lack of evidence to the contrary of a theory does not automatically mean that there must be evidence supporting it. In truth, there is little attempt to disprove his thesis simply because most credible experts consider it to be just another quack theory.

There are some people that have been helped by TRT but that does not mean it is how to cure tinnitus. Even proponents will not usually go so far as to state that. It may be a way for someone to cope with the condition but keep in mind that it takes from a year to 18 months to be effective, if it is going to help at all.

Ear Ringing In Silence

Ringing in your ears is known as tinnitus. Tinnitus can be either temporary or permanent. An example of temporary tinnitus might be the ringing in your ears that you get after attending a loud rock concert, which would usually clear in a couple of days.

Permanent tinnitus indicates a level of hearing damage but it can be a very small level so as not to affect your hearing to any great extent, just certain frequencies of hearing. The actual sound that you're hearing is the brain misintepreting signals from the ears. Tinnitus can be caused by a number of things, and is best drowned out by 'white noise' such as that which you used to get from old TV sets after a channel had gone off air.

It's something that it is totally possible to get used to, and often you won't even notice it unless you physically stop to think about it. I've had tinnitus for 6yrs and it doesn't affect my life at all.

Tinnitus is when an individual hears noises when there isn't any external sounds. There are two types of tinnitus, subjective and objective. Subjective is the most common and it means that the patient is the only one who can hear any sounds. Objective tinnitus is more rare but this occurs when the doctor can actually hear sounds from the patient's ear, either by listening closely or use of a stethoscope. In either case, sufferers are often desperate to know how to cure tinnitus.

It is called tinnitus.

It can have several causes. For some people, it's their blood pressure, and it can even be heard by other people if they listen closely or use equipment. However, for most people, it is due to some type of hearing damage. You can't hear a certain frequency any more, and because of the lack of input, it becomes hyperactive and you hear it ever so slightly.

Tinnitus can be very loud when you aren't getting any hearing input, but it can be easily drowned out by the smallest of sounds because it makes you listen for something else. In tests, tinnitus was graded as "deafening" and "very mild" for the same patients, when they were asked to either focus on the tinnitus or focus on other sounds. This kind of tinnitus isn't a real sound, it's a nerve malfunctioning, so only you can hear it and it's relative.

You can get hearing-damage tinnitus through several means. Ear infections can cause it, but a common cause is also sudden exposure to a very loud sound (an explosion, gunfire) or longer exposure to somewhat loud sounds (e.g. loud music, loud machinery)

Sounds like tinnitus, the dog may drown it out because the noise it's making is on the same frequency. Go and see your GP, it's most likely nothing but there are some underlying E.N.T. conditions which may need treating.

I have it too. Your ears have probably been near sounds that are too loud! The vibrations constantly vibrate your ears when it's silent and you hear that ringing sound.

I heard ringing in my ears too, like louder hearing test. It could be tinnitus. Gets louder over time. Use this to reduce the ringing.

I think that could either be Tinnitus, a ear ringing disease or normal, if you sit and its extremely quiet you will hear it. If its happening to you when its not quiet, i would consult with someone.

I first started experiencing the symptoms of tinnitus in spring 2013. I had trouble sleeping. I feared quiet rooms, I could hear it over the television, I could hear it in social situations. I could hear it all the time. I was a wreck for several months, depressed and anxious. I tried completely ridding myself of caffeine and alcohol. I tried exercising, and then, not exercising. I tried meditation. I used maskers and white noise generators. I used a pitch generator for residual inhibition. None of these worked. But thanks to this https://tr.im/Treatmenttinnitus2015SgVV I got better in less than two weeks.

The ringing in your ear is probably because of the sound waves pounding in your ear from loud music.

Its normal, it is your brain creating sensory signals in lack of other sources. aka: if it is too quiet, your brain will make its own noise.
